Simple Recipes, Deliciously Evolved
It’s the first month of Summer, and we decided to share some quick mouth-watering & easy-to-cook recipes with you, featuring our all-new meaty, juicy & tender Evolved Plant Meat.
These are dishes that have tantalised your taste-buds over the years. So, we decided to give them an Evolved twist and amp up the flavour.
Evolved Samosa
Ingredients
Evolved Plant Meat: 220 grams
Onions (chopped): 2
Boiled potatoes: 2 (medium size)
Garlic (chopped): 4
Green chilies (chopped): 2
Turmeric: ½ teaspoon
Salt: as per taste
Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder: ½ teaspoon
Samosa patti / wrappers: 20
Oil: 1 litre
Method
· Heat oil in non- stick kadai, add the chopped garlic, green chili and sauté for 1 minute.
· Add the chopped onions and fry till soft and translucent. Chop Plant Meat into tiny chunks.
· Add the plant meat and boiled potatoes to the kadai and sauté.
· Add the turmeric, garam masala and coriander powder and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Finish with chopped coriander.
· Let the mixture cool. Fill the samosa patti with the plant meat mixture.
· Deep-fry the samosas until they are golden brown. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
Bangalore Style Evolved Kebabs
Ingredients
Evolved Plant Meat: 220 grams (cut into medium sized pieces)
Maida/ all-purpose flour: 2 tablespoons
Cornstarch/corn flour: 2 tablespoons
Red chili powder: 2 tablespoons
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoons
Cumin powder: ½ tablespoon
Garam masala: 2 teaspoons
Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice: 2 teaspoons
Salt: as per taste
Curry leaves: 15–20
Oil: 1 litre (for deep frying)
Method
· Whisk all the ingredients except curry leaves and add some amount of water to get a batter of a medium consistency.
· Drop in the Plant Meat chunks and let it marinate for 20 mins. Heat oil in a deep- vessel.
· Once the oil is hot, add the Plant meat pieces, making sure not to add too many at one time.
· Fry for 3–4 mins turning the pieces occasionally and add some curry leaves so that it adds a nice aroma to the kebabs.
· Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a few lemon wedges & onion rings.
Evolved Tikkis
Ingredients
Evolved Plant Meat: 220 grams
Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
Green chilies: 2 (finely chopped)
Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder: ½ teaspoon
Corn flour: 2 tablespoons
Salt: as per taste
Method
- Grate the plant meat into a rough mince using a grater.
- In a mixing bowl, add finely chopped onion, green chilli, cumin seeds and mix along with the plant meat mince.
- Add red chili powder, garam masala, corn flour and salt.
- Mix it well so that it turn into dough.
- Shape them into small tikkis.
- In a kadai heat oil and deep fry the tikkis until they are golden brown.
